Overview
This policy explains what information Michael Vireo ("we", "the store") collects when you visit this store, book a session or buy a product, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the store you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Checkout details: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the message you add to a booking.
- Bookings: the date and time you choose for a session and the product you booked.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number. We receive your name, email, the amount paid and the payment status.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as device and browser type and the pages you visit, used to keep the store running and to count visits.
- Advertising measurement: we may use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which uses cookies to tell us when someone who saw our Facebook or Instagram ads visits the site, applies, books a consultation or makes a purchase. When you apply, book or request the Starter Pack, our server may also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email, phone and name so Meta can match the action to its ad. Meta handles this data under its own privacy policy, and you can control ad tracking in your Facebook settings.
How we use it
- To confirm your purchase and deliver your product or download link.
- To schedule your session, add it to our calendar and send you the meeting link and reminder emails.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To send occasional emails about SAT resources. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the store working and improve it.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't show ads.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run the store on our behalf: our hosting provider (Cloudflare), our payment processor (Stripe), our email provider, and the calendar and video meeting tools used for sessions (Google Calendar and Microsoft Teams). Each handles your information under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and local storage
The store uses your browser's storage only to make pages load smoothly. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep order and booking records for as long as needed to provide your purchase and for our business and tax records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.
Your choices
To get a copy of your information, correct it or have it deleted, email [email protected].
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Purchases should be made by a parent or guardian, or with their permission, for students under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13 without a parent's consent. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date at the top when we do.
